The number (8 million or 20 million) is if we plow up the whole country and grow nothing but the most efficient food in terms of calories, which I believe is wheat for bread.

No - it isn't just luxuries, how much of the technology in the computers, mobile phones, etc. do we have the facilities to make in UK. how much of UK's income comes from doing business outside UK. I am not sure we could even feed ourselves any more (and they'd be an outcry when prices went up and choice drops - e.g. very few fruits like Oranges get grown in UK).Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
