Of the main characters only Nicholas Smith (Mr Rumbold) and Mike Berry who was the later jnr menswear assistant Mr Spooner.

Miss Bakewell (Penny Irvine) and Mr Grace's Nurse played by Vivienene Johnson are still around and they were both in more episodes that Mike Berry.

It's sad that I didn't get to hear of this news until now, I think Thornton's death was certainly worth reporting. Oh well, I'm going to get some of my Are You Being Served? videos out tonight.
