Aid convoy from Moscow to Ukrain?

I had the strangest thought....If I wanted to get, lets say 300 highly trained, perhaps even special forces troops into a rebel held area of another country, do you think I could get away with it if I dressed them up as truck drivers and got them to simply drive in!

I'm interested to know what the Russians are up to. Obviously one can assume they would never give any aid let alone 200 lorry loads. So now it transpires the lorries are empty save for token bottles of water, so why bring 200 lorries to the front? They're obviously up to something.

The trucks belong to the army and are supposedly driven by same, seeing that a lot of them are half empty after it was announced the Ukraine would be searching them first is a bit of a worrying thing.

It has been suggested that due to the Russian separatists losing badly in the area to Ukrainian forces that the Russian backing is wavering and they're looking for a way out.

Offering aid is one step away from suggesting a cease fire and a face saving end to the whole mess.

Despite the Uk media having a rabid fascination with Putin as some kind of psychopathic dictator one step away from launching nukes, they really don't need or want to get drawn into a long conflict over a scrappy bit of land.

Thats one take on it anyway.

It boosts his popularity back home, he is seen as a hero for giving so much aid ( the empty lorries won't be shown on state controlled tv) and if anything happened to the convoy from the Ukrainian army then it proves his argument to the Russian people that Ukraine shot down MH 17 and that military intervention is needed.

Even if only a small amount of aid does come from Russia it will be greatly received though, parts of Eastern Ukraine have been without running water and electricity for a long time now
