Terrible news again, this HAS to stop.

Thoughts going out to his family this evening, he was out their to help the Syrians - What do ISIS think they are achieving?

It really is terrible news, but I wonder if they deliberately choose people who are trying to help simply because it causes even more outrage, even creating anger/hatred against them?

Sad for sure, but why post it in General Gassing?

Always tackling the big issues, aren't you? Have a super duper hard think about it might have happened. Go on. You can do it.

Terrible news. Really does have to stop - though of course they WANT more military action against them.

Poor bstrd frown

If you get caught by these guys I think you have to go out in a blaze of glory.
Try and grab an AK, anything, and take as many with you as possible.

Waiting for the rescue/release that isn't coming and the video is just horrific.
Getting shot running away is probably much more preferable.

If you choose to go there you cannot allow yourself to get captured alive.

Awful for his family, but ISIS want us to go after them and we have fallen for their rather uncunning plan.

It would be nice to simply release the SAS to undertake a search and destroy mission.

Genuine question - why is this not an option? Too many of them (ISIS)? Too widely spread out?

Very sad news. This sort of thing should never happen period, but to someone who was our there helping other people is just pure evil. frown

Thanks for your insights Mr Norris.

Well the mods obviously agreed because they moved it. If you want to talk about the quality of people's contributions to PH, you might do well to take a look at your own.

If the SAS aren't already on the ground searching for them I'd be very surprised.

Very likely to be on the ground, but unlikely to be engaging them directly. Sending in the SAS isn't like the movies in the majority of cases.

Some reports on US news channels appear to state they have over 80 hostages... i.e. pretty much 2 a week for the next year. frown
