Anyone give a toss about Gibraltar's future?
Discussion
Am wondering how they feel about last week and wonder what the Brexit view point is regarding the future of the place? Also what would happen if
1. Spain tried a Galtieri one night? or
2. Gibraltar left UK, along with Scot and NI?
Actually, Id be curious whether anyone really cares about the place too?

It would be difficult given that both Spain and the UK are NATO signatories. If Gibraltar asked for aid I would give it (were I in charge, which of course I'm not) 1. Spain tried a Galtieri one night? or

We happily gave away Hong Kong, I see no reason why we must hold Gibraltar at all costs.
What costs are you referring to?And I don't care that Spain has a few bits of Africa.

Err, HK was leased and the lease had expired... how is that a giveaway?

I think you'll find that a few people on here have expressed concern for Gib.
I do hope that the PM states unequivocally that we will support them for whatever they need and do all we can to counter Spanish aggression or awkwardness. Any desire by the Gibraltarians to remain is through necessity and there is no first minister using Brexit as a self-serving opportunity.
Hopefully Spain see parallels in their own Catalonian issue and decide to stay well out.

Prepared for incoming but what exactly is the issue with Gibraltar and why are the UK or the Spanish so wound up about it. The days of strategic naval importance are centuries ago so why would anyone be that fussed about it now ? Their residents must rely almost entirely on the nearest mainland for their day to day existance so why all the angst ?
(I'm a republican BTW so don't give a toss about loyalty to archaic heads of state)

Gibraltar. We could have a go at all three as long as we can withdraw the PayPal funds before they realise they got scammed and raise a dispute with eBay. We can use David Cameron's account. When he's gone we can blame it on a rogue operator promise 'lessons will be learned' and offer them a 10 pound gift voucher for Amazon as a goodwill gesture.
