I expect the neighbours think him more a leg end than a legend!

2 hours of noise versus all the hassle of bringing in demolition equipment down small roads and the weeks of noise from conventional demolition.

As a neighbour it's going to be enough of a hassle as they clear the rubble and then the build itself so I'm grateful that the buffoon has done something considerate and packaged several weeks of potential disruption and noise into one short afternoon. Only shame is I wouldn't have minded watching it go up.

Yeah, because the film crews for the Grand Tour that were there that week wont have filmed that, will they?

Whilst I appreciate Clarksons capacity to entertain I wouldn't want to live near him, he is, by many accounts, a massive ahole.

No-one doubts that, least of all himself, but he is a likeable ahole.

He is a gigantic cockwomble for sure, but as long as you maintain the ratio of laughing with/laughing at he's pretty entertaining at times.

Shame really, I liked the look of his old house.
New one looks like all other country new builds.

I love the fact that he's done the demolition in a way that he finds entertaining. I'm sure he'll have invited May and Hammond around for a viewing, too.

Did he tell the tenants? I'm sure they would have appreciated a warning letter the evening before.

Probably because the council won't let you build anything that doesn't look like it was done 200 years ago. Ergo, they all look the same.
