Chris Cornell dead
Discussion
One of my heroes,
i never got to see Soundgarden, hands down my favourite band.
My best friend was killed in a car accident in 1997, he'd given me a copy of Superunknown 3 days before. I listened to that non-stop for about 6months. That album is 'my album', every track is solid gold.
I saw Chris live in Newcastle a couple of years ago, just an amazing voice, an amazing presence and massively talented.
As far as I am concerned 2017 is a f
king write-off now.
A sad day for music.

I just got a reissue of Euphoria Morning last week and have listened to it a few times since then. I really like it. It wasn't an album I have listened to much before, certainly not as much as the Soundgarden and Audioslave ones, some of which rate in my top 10 albums of all time.
I was hoping to hear a lot more from him

Early 90's driving some worn-out old s***box of a Buick (because Mrs Digga had totalled the Lexus LS400 we had on hire on a rock) from Yosemite to San Fransisco.
Mrs D was asleep (because she was navigating) it was raining, the car was crap and the only things keeping me amused were the scenery and the radio, which is where I first heard Soundgarden.
RIP. A very sad loss.

k sake. A true legend and architect of the grunge era.
I didn't get to see Soundgarden, Audioslave or Chris himself live. Joins my growing list of 'best bands I didn't get to see', including Nirvana and Alice in Chains.
Don't write off Alice in Chains, William DuVall makes a great frontman in place of Layne, and you still have Jerry Cantrell who is a legend in himself.
