Being charged doesn't mean one is guilty. There will ll be along and complicated court case no doubt and it will be the court which decides if what they did broke the law or not.

That's the way the law works. I can't see how it can be done any other way - unless you believe in kangaroo courts.

I am very keen to understand how Amanda Staveley has avoided trouble over this. She claims no knowledge of the deals the subject of the charges and is indeed suing Barclays over those deals, but I have ever since wanted to know a lot more about her role.

As for the lawyers, internal and external; they will be frantically taking advice on legal privilege and the law on that subject has become far less friendly recently.

Yep, I'd be interested in knowing more about her role - I recall she got an eye-wateringly big fee.

And agreed re the law on privilege, especially for in house lawyers.

Funny thing is 100s of staff will have been involved an just done as they were told....perhaps finally we all can get some justice for what went on during the crisis. Many staff will still be there an still do what they are told.
