Police said the officer filed a “use of force” report on the incident, but the officer was cleared after an internal investigation by the DeKalb County Police Department.
Reasonable or not? Even the people she knew was saying do not resist arrest, yet she continued to do so. American police do not know if they are armed or not so I would say he was fully justified.
If that was a white woman do you think he would be suspended? I suspect this is to stop the BLM group starting a shopping spree

OP, curious as to whether you raised this because an American police office had to use force to effect an arrest of a person, or because he used force to effect an arrrest if a woman?
From experience women should be treat no differently to men, they can be vicious and cause significant injury when being arrested, just like some men can.

Solo officer trying to make an arrest, perp clearly resisting.
That's what I expected to see, but having watched it it didn't seem like that, and it obviously didn't to the cop on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HX9wMXi9YQ
Officer on his own with a suspect resisting arrest, ignoring his clear, persistent commands and trying to take his baton. Seems reasonable to me, since each strike is clearly considered and only repeated when necessary. I would hazard a guess that some resistance or violence was used against the officer before the camera started rolling, such that he decided to draw his baton.
Would you rather he shot her? I don't think people understand how hellish ghetto America is. Black lives matter, but sadly not to other black people in the States and to a degree over here, if that comment is racist, go look at the homicide rate, especially black on black crime, as for over here, remember seeing a met police thing on the BBC. They were chanting black lives matter in some park, it then shows you 10 minutes later outside a mcdonalds youths going at another with pretty hefty knives. I also remember seeing something about the city of Chicago having a murder every 2 odd hours every day.
A nurse in the US assaulted by the police just for doing her job.

Saw this earlier. Clearly a man who is used to getting what he wants and when he doesn't spits his dummy out.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp...
Have those of you defending the policeman actually watched this properly? I don't think you have She isn't resisting arrest. She isn't trying to grab his baton at any point in that clip. He has her grabbed by the wrist as they come in and then proceeds to beat the s
t out of her. Then, when kneeling on her in a manner to prevent her being able to put her hands behind her back, tells her to do just that and then beats her a bit more.
I'd be surprised if his training consisted of anything more then "here you go, have a baton and a gun, go hog wild"
Those of you who are defending the policeman should be ashamed of yourselves..
