You get quite used to poking yourself in the eye after a few years!!

Never had a problem.

I've had it happen a couple of times... The constant watering and the fact I can't see out of one eye are kind of a clue...

I've had it happen a few times, as said can't imagine how anyone couldn't notice.

I once even hunted around and found a fragment after removing one as I was uncomfortable and sure it must have split and left a bit in my eye

Was wondering the same. When I 'lose' a len in one of my eyes the pain is very very irritating and eyes do go a little red too. Only lasts about a min or two thankfully.

They can't roll to the back of the eye!

Someone screwed up if this wasn't noticed in an earlier assessment

My record is removing 6 from one eye. How you could get 27 folded and under the top lid in the upper fornix is staggering. Her lid must have been bulging like a chipmunk's cheeks!

Patients do sometimes present with a contact lens
When did this form of present come into being?
If it's not now or something you get for your birthday, is another word suitable for come forward
Maybe its a form of presentable

I remember when I first started wearing contact lenses, would take me 30 minutes to get one in my eye and they were so red by the time I got them in I had to take them out again.

About 6 months later it takes about a minute for both to go in. I've only once 'lost one', happens while I had a full face fire fighters mask on. Christ it hurt and I had water streaming down my face when I took the mask off. How you couldn't tell you have one lost is uncomprehendable to me let alone 20 odd.

I slightly scratched my cornea earlier this year - safe to say I noticed. God knows how you'd miss that lot moving around under the eyelids

“In this day and age, when it is so easy to purchase contact lenses online, people become lax about having regular check ups,” she added.

But, but the patient has to indicate they are up to date with their checks and have a valid prescription before ordering on line.

It's a legitimate use of the word often used in the medical world, when referring to presentable symptoms.

I think I have 'lost' a contact lens in my eye a few weeks ago. At least, I slid it to the right to get it out and then it disappeared. Can't say that I didn't drop it, my eye feels slightly uncomfortable but it does anyway since I had cataract surgery.

So .... who is the best person to go and see to make sure? A doctor or an optician?
