The guy that invented PayPal is currently flying the closest approximation to a Thunderbird we've ever seen. So, whilst the generation who idolised Thunderbirds back in the day may ask for a little more pomp in our scientific or technical endeavours, I'm quite happy to laugh along with Trainy McTrainface (or Boaty McBoatface) so long as the Facebook generation are furthering human achievements at such an aggressive rate.

Talking of which; Musk and Zuckerberg were in the news this morning because they're squabbling over the ethics of AI... If they want to call their new robot 'Smarty McSmart Face', I'll not begrudge them that, either.
