The fire service hopefully used an extremely large sledge hammer to free the idiot from the cement/microwave.

He was lucky.

I seem to recal a schoolgirl a few years ago put her hands in a bucket of plaster of Paris.

They ended up amputating.

Smiler.

What's required here is a JustGiving campaign to raise enough cash for this fellow to fund a new microwave, *lots* more Polyfilla, and the exclusive weekend rental of an isolated cottage somewhere in the Outer Hebrides where the response of the emergency services can take many, many hours. Possibly days.

That, horrifically, is because the setting reaction of plaster of paris is exothermic. They amputated because her fingers were cooked.

That's what sprang to mind when I read the title. Thank God he only used poly filla. The man's an idiot but that would have been tragic.
