Silly boy and all that but I'm not sure this is quite the "poor young girls bombarded with messages" scenario it's being portrayed to be.He's been caught being a bit of a naughty boy and has had to pay the price. Politicians come in all shapes and sizes. Most of them have a well developed sense of their own importance and that sometimes manifests itself in this type of behaviour.

To a degree I think it does. He's been caught being a bit of a naughty boy and has had to pay the price. Politicians come in all shapes and sizes. Most of them have a well developed sense of their own importance and that sometimes manifests itself in this type of behaviour.
It's awful for his wife and family, that goes without saying.
But I do struggle a little with the media spin on it.
Incidentally is he naughty boy because he had an affair or because he's got some specific sexual tastes or simply because he got caught? Because if not for getting caught you've probably got half of Westminster in the first two categories

what a stupid t
t - using his work mobile and sending texts like that while apparently serving the country as an elected representative of democracy.
did he really think the women fancied him?
did he ever consider his wife and young baby?
he should resign as an MP - but then he'd have to get a real job.

Indeed. Read the Mirror's article with extracts of a handful of the texts, and it sounds like they were more than willing participants - the money he sent was probably the clincher.https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/married-tor...

Good to see a traditional Tory sex scandal, they've been underperforming recently. I just hope the country will carry on without him running it. Feel for his wife and kid, not their fault that he's so stupid that he imagines someone he pays for videos won't see an opportunity to make more money by selling her story.
It's a mess for him personally.
But it looks like everyone on both sides was willing, actively involved, old enough and it was all legal vanilla stuff. So where's the problem?
Apart from a prudish tabloid is anyone going to look at this and think there was a problem beyond his (very common) moral failing towards his family?
I'm disappointed really. You think there's going to be a proper juicy sex scandal and you get this rubbish. Hardly rent boys s
tting onto glass tables is it?
