Dover district councillor Bob Frost has been suspended from the Conservative party for a couple of tweets he made to one of his Labour opposites while she was at the conference in Liverpool. He said the Marie Stopes abortion clinic in the city was funded by Liverpool council as part of it's crime prevention strategy.

He also advised her to visit the slave museum where, he was so impressed with service, he bought two of the staff.

British humour at it's best, but sadly misunderstood these days.

You really find that amusing?

Even Bernard Manning and Jim Davidson would have hesitated.

Edit:
He's got previous for his "sense of humour", too.

Sounds like he'd fit better in UKIP.

I don't think telling people to buy slaves can be "misunderstood" really....

So you can go the the slave museum and buy slaves. REALLY.

Just a thought, but how about getting REALLY upset about the sex trafficking, forced prostitution and sexual abuse that is REALLY going on, right now, in the UK?

Or just get annoyed by some loudmouthed knob who would be best ignored as a distraction from ^^^ what ^^^ is ^^^ REALLY ^^^ going ^^^ on ^^^

Regardless of ones opinion on this "humour" - seriously what makes someone in a position like this where they are going to be under such scrutiny and need to be "whiter than white" post st like this on social media. It's not a one off either; public figures are forever making gaffes like this.

If I was a public figure I for sure wouldn't be tweeting, facebooking or anything; I'd have a largely static website and that'd be it.

There should be a law against it!

Here's a thought that might give your rampant whataboutism a moment's pause... What do you think the outcome would be if an elected representative of the public, a member of the party in power currently, was found to be involved in any of those activities? More serious than being suspended from the party? Or less?

Or better yet, seeing as he's so sure all of this evil is going on... And no prizes for guessing which ethnicity he blames... Why doesn't he sign up for the Police, work his way to detective and deliver these legions of criminals to the court. Surely that has to be better than reading the Daily Express and moaning on the internet?

Dragging it back on topic... This guy just sounds like a knob, so the thread title is dead on... He's got no sense of humour what so ever.

Sadly being a knob isn't illegal but that doesn't prevent you from being criticised over it (which is what happened here, the Conservatives like any organisation have the right to scrutinise their members).

Do you really trust yourself THAT little not to open your gob and shove both feet straight in?

These days there are so many people wanting to take offence at literally anything that I don't think it's a question of trusting oneself, it's a question of not even putting yourself at risk at all. I'd just stay well away.

Stuff like the above in the OP are just stupid in the extreme though; do I want people in public office who show such total lack of judgement? Er, no!

I'm sure if you were to actually research the issue you'll find a whole diversity of ethnicity involved in the sex trafficking "trade". but obviously you don't believe that this actually is going on. confused

You didn’t mention being upset about domestic abuse and using your logic it means you support domestic abuse.

Frankly I think it’s disgusting that you promote men beating their wives. You should be ashamed of yourself.

The more important question is whether Kccv has stopped beating his wife yet. It's a very simple question, Kccv. Yes or no? Well, come on? Yes or no?
