They would have a coronary if they came to our garden.

I have just collected 7 full dumpy bags of leaves
over an hr on Ride on mower, emptying it numerous times.

in fact Plymouth isn't too far
maybe I could drop a few dumpy bags off so he can really see what inundated looks like smile

I have three cherry blossom trees around my driveway. I get to sweep furiously for two periods a in a year.

Not quite sure inundated is the term.

Our neighbours cherry blossom tree is just shedding its last leaves over our garden. The next few months are bliss laugh

Jeez, my last house had 2 100ft oak trees at the bottom, unless there was some very strong winds in November which blew the leaves into the neighbours gardens, we would lose all sight of the grass. And the pinging of acorns on the shed roof!

Silver Birch seeds are a nightmare. I've got a few out the front of my house and the end of summer is always met with them shedding millions of fking seeds all over my car.

Tell them to fk off the miserable old bds. It's a fking tree what do they think it's going to do?
It's probably older than they are and will be there long after they have littered some cemetery with their remains.

Some old people are mental - I bet they're out there clearing snow while it's still snowing.

I have about 60-70 non-conifer trees. My heart bleeds for these people's leaf problem.

if it wasn't for clearing leaves at this time of year my dad wouldn't be half as fit as he is for his age. they should look at it as exercise.

It's a shame they've allowed it to become such a huge and negative feature of their life. I can understand that at their age and potential for fragility they wouldn't want their driveway to be covered in wet slippery leaves, but it's just a tree.

Absolutely. In fact, to make a point...

I have a similar problem, as I’m sure many people who don’t live in a block of flats do. Instead of complaining to a newspaper that nature is out to get me, I bought a garden vacuum/blower and empowered myself to do something about it rather than expect someone else to give a st laugh

Granted I can see it being an issue if you’re elderly and perhaps frail, but I can’t see any situation where it would warrant a newspaper article. Perhaps they are hoping to rally support for local protests from likeminded tree haters?
