Boils my piss. It appears he made indecent images of children. Download images and was trying to make contact with kids online.

Got 18 months suspended for 2 years due to all his mental heath issues. Which read like a list of bullst excuses due to his service. I’m sorry I don’t by that at all.

How can you get a suspended sentence for this. I know it must be in the guidelines but surely the guidelines can’t be this lenient.

I wonder if this would be a case the Home Office would look at for pension forfeiture.

MH issues are rampant amongst criminals, so it's hardly an improbable scenario. How much it impacted upon the sentencing is unknown.

In terms of sentencing it ranges widely from medium community orders to 9 years in prison for indecent images, for example.

If the 'making' is simply downloading, then it's treated as possession (least serious vs distribution and production).

I would anticipate that most members of the public would expect a police officer, lawyer, judge etc to face the higher end of the scale in any such situation.
