For how long though?

A sad day, really, if he’s the best we’ve got, which he may well be........

Never let it be said that Conservative Party members lack a sense of humour... even if it is at the cost of nationally committing suicide.

We've got a perfectly good thread about Boris being inept here:

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Why do we need another thread destined to document his ineptness?

There isn’t anything faux about my outrage.

Well, I say outrage, it’s more like disgust and sadness that this is where we have ended up as a nation.

Sold a fake dream by an absolute spiv of a snake oil salesmen who only cares about himself.

Staggeringly that salesman now becomes our PM.

This will be an unmitigated disaster for our country.

You can quote me on this and refer back to it in 12 months time.

RIP UK.

Except she won't rest until Boris is kicked out along with his 92k geriatric white middle upper class buffoons have been as well.

On the upside it shouldn't take too long.

Boris's political end has finally started to come into view. smile

At least now one of the key architects of this mess will have to own it.

The same Westminster 'experts' who said May wouldn't last 5 minutes are now saying the same about Boris. They also said the coalition government wouldn't last a full term. It's a bit like the usual suspects who keep on repeating that the buffoon across the pond is about to be indicted and kicked out of office.

Agreed.

That is the only possible shred of ‘good’ that can come from this.

The slippery bd led people into this mess, now he can have a go at sorting it out.

He won’t manage it successfully of course.

When it goes wrong we can roll it up and hang it round his neck.

But of course the brexiteers will still try to blame others for not BELIEVING enough, or not trying hard enough, such is the delusion now.

Can't stand the bugger - but I do think he's the only Tory who can nullify corbi and be happy to do a deal with the Brexit party.

The next GE (which may be very soon!) could be interesting

If nothing else, it makes life interesting. He's realised his lifelong ambition, and there's nothing more useless than a manchild who's reached the top of the mountain. He's not interested in the real work of government, and much like Trump, the grown ups will give him the impression he's in charge, while they run the show.

Let's hope he's a roaring success, and all that bluff and bluster hides a man of substance.

Another 6 to 12 months of the political equivalent of a Brian Rix farce.

Hilarious.

Wasn't Boris was rather vocal about how Gordon Brown taking over in a party leadership contest rather than a general election was wrong? hehe

Not that there's any better options if we do have a general election.
