Some people have a stupid array of things obstructing vision, I have seen some cars with an array of flowers, ornaments, stickers you name it on the windscreen/dashboard - it’s not a friggin office cubicle

I only have this (which is the expression diesel owners have when overtaken thumbup )

Several of our cars have small stickers over the sensor to stop the autodimming function.

Other than that, all nice and clear and well cleaned to allow my wife to check her makeup.

Why do you not want the auto dimming feature to work ?.

More how I imagine you looked after being burned by that 1.5 Diesel BMW 1 series off that roundabout.

Because often it massively reduces your ability to see what the car you behind is. This might be annoying when you engage warp speed not knowing that the car behind you is a police car. I always disable auto dimming.

I think it was the one with tyre chains on the front wheels.

I disable mine because I find it distorts the actual distance of where the car is behind and how fast it may be approaching.

I'm very happy with my auto dim despite hardly ever using it as a manual feature on previous cars. I don't really care what the vehicle behind is, just whether it's being driven by a moron or not.

And yes it was a police car once, we were close to the local cop shop in the late evening, probably end of shift as he ignored my 35 in a 30. redcard

I'm surprised that's stayed on your mirror with the quality of your gearchanges.

I was the same for the first few years of my driving - all in cities and on motorways.

Then moved to the sticks, and learnt what full beam and dimmed rvm exist for...
