See recommendation 6:

https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/news/motoring-news/ban...

I've always maintained that, if cars were invented today, they'd be banned.

Check out item 6 in the report:

"Consider removing private cars from the roads as this is “not compatible with significant decarbonisation”"

How in the name of sanity will that work in the sticks? I have 2 buses per day. Nearest train 50 miles.

The writing is on the wall. The statist mentality on display is as chilling as it is arrogantly urban-centric.

Not a word about restricting flights, which do way more damage than cars. But flights are important for the urban bourgeoisie who dream up these schemes (the annual jaunt to Tuscany and the annual skiing trip), so that's alright then.

Its a load of bks - we don’t need to ban things to stop the effects on the environment. Greta Thunberg is a moronic child who thinks that banning planes and cars is going to save the world. I don’t know about her but I don’t want to have to sail to Australia or walk to rural Northamptonshire. Idiot.

Electric cars, and a way of a more efficient fuelling for planes is the way to go

Pretty sure the food industry creates way more carbon pollution than cars. Maybe stop farming cows first?
