Paracetamol shortage?
Discussion
Both paracetamol and ibuprofen in the last couple of weeks.
Brexit to blame to some degree, but by no means solely.

Sandra Gidley from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society explained this has been an ongoing issue for nearly a decade and is not a direct side effect of Brexit
Where prey tell are these cheap Tesco paracetamol made?
China by any chance? They aren’t in the EU so worst comes to the worst they can ship straight here.

You say Brexit is to blame then post a link that states Brexit isn't to blame?Brexit to blame to some degree, but by no means solely.

I've often seen this in Boots / Superdrug, not just recently either. Surely if you're "out" of the cheap stuff the consumer has to buy the more expensive stuff. It's likely to be one of the highest frequency purchases, so if they make 10p more on Headex than own brand 32p stuff, then I can understand why they do run out..

Has anyone noticed a shortage of generic paracetamol tablets in supermarkets recently? Aldi don't seem to have any, and both Tesco and Sainsbury's are often out of stock, except for expensive branded ones.
No doubt someone will blame the B word....
Yes, has been very hard to find around here as well which hasn't helped with the Mrs coming down with something. No doubt someone will blame the B word....
The Brexit shortages are starting already. Might start stockpiling a few things before everyone else does.

Masses of stuff in your home 'will' have come from the Big C. Medicines is rarely one of them.
The cheaper brands (but invariably absolutely no different to the 'branded'!) will probably have come from
Wrafton Laboratories Limited, Braunton, in Devon.
edit to addLook on the back of the box of tablets, and it will tell you.
Just looked at some Tesco pills in our cabinet and it's the other major supplier, Wockhardt UK.
Wockhardt is one of the largest generic pharmaceutical companies in the UK (it's changed its name a few times over the years).
