Horrible. frown What a way to go.

Completely avoidable too by the sounds of things.

Guardian said:
The railways minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, said most of the deaths were passengers throwing themselves from the moving train to escape the fire.

The minister said the incident was caused by the explosion of a gas canister while passengers were cooking breakfast on a stove on the train on Thursday morning. It is illegal to bring gas canisters on to trains but the rules are frequently flouted.

I guess hearing an explosion, many thought it was more than a gas canister?

BBC article states many of those killed jumped from the train, presumably as it was still moving.

They really don’t get anything “health and safety “ . Its bloody stupid behaviour to be a passenger cooking with gas stoves on a train .I run out of pity at times .
