Post election predictions
Discussion
Ok, what are your post election predictions?
Here’s mine:
Conservative - win with a slight majority, not as high as the polls predict but saved by brexit party standing down and not splitting the vote.
Everyone moans for the next 4 years that it feels like all public services are getting worse. However, any mention of a tax rise is firmly frowned upon by the general public. Daily mirror runs stories of people removing their own appendixes after being turned away from A&E. daily star have a similar story about a man who has had a ketchup bottle stuck somewhere for 2 years.
Daily mail run stories about ww2 veteran being found dead in an A&E toilet 3 days after dying in there. He was only there to sell remembrance poppies.
Labour - do worse than expected as the Lib Dem’s split the vote and gain a number of labour seats.
Corbyn refuses to step down and is caught off camera blaming the elders of Zion. Labour implodes. Corbyn lives out his days in exile in a Central American hotel in a life of luxury, refusing to accept any poverty exists in the country.
Eventually Andy burnham comes out of hiding in Manchester town hall. Labour win next election. Economy collapses after all UK public services are relocated to Manchester.
Brexit party - win one or two seats if that, possibly none, come second in a lot of poor industrial towns and seats. Farage points out more people voted for brexit party than snp and the system is rigged. No ones cares as everyone is now sick of brexit and just wants in done. Farage gets a knighthood, protesters ruin the day.
Lib Dems- do no where near as well as they have been predicting themselves. Swinsons claim’s she could be the next pm now look silly. Lib Dem’s still hail it as a victory anyway and announce they are the real winners overall based on gains. Claim they should be allowed to form a minority gov with greens.
Chuka loses his seat, re-emerges later in the year on the board of BP or ‘special advisor’ to a British arms company producing and selling weapons to Saudis.
Greens - will win a couple of seats, even if you don’t like the greens it feels nice they have won something. Until the daily mail reveals the winning mps are regular flyers, live in large unsustainable country locations and have sold a number of family owned green belt sites to persimmon homes. All profits are moved off shore.
Brexit supporters- still moan as Boris delivers brexit which is nothing like they were promised either on a bus or by farage.
Farage loses interest and is revealed to be having an affair with a brexit party intern. Steps down from brexit to get his life back.
Remainers- claim that adding the labour vote, (ignoring the neutral stance) Lib Dem, greens, snp plus half the split tory vote results is a win for remain. They continue arguing forever and blame anything they don’t like on brexit. But on the plus side they never mention thatcher or the miners strike ever again.
Oh, and Nicola sturgeon remains bitter and twisted eventually turning into Gollum but saying independence rather than precious.
My predictions anyway.
What are yours?
No arguing, no picking holes in other people’s predictions, no spelling pelice, no nasty comments about other ph members.
Report back in January to see if you were on or off target.
Photos of Boris shagging an intern at the Tory Christmas party, whilst wearing a top hat, a monocle and a t-shirt saying “f
k the poor”. People still respond with “well, he’s getting Brexit done”.
We quit the EU, the Tory government continue to f
k around, we leave with no deal in the end, the economy crashes, terrorist attacks restart in NI and still leavers moan about how it’s all someone else’s fault.

Win or lose, there's a bit of value in that price. If the price comes in to around evens I'll be laying off my liability.

An English football team with no English players and not managed by a Briton will win the Champions League.
The BBC will continue to have no male presenters on Newsnight, and no-one will complain.
A Rolling Stone will die.
