Why is she incapable of resetting the breaker? I stayed at some similar style Chalets on holiday and the power would trip if you combined using the microwave and kettle but it wasn't an issue as you could simply reset it which took less than a minute.

She shouldn't be having multiple children if she can't afford them, hopefully the council will take the one she's due to have away so she gets the message.

Could try turning a few electrics off if it keeps tripping due to overload.
And try getting some money from the father(s) of the kids - although I expect as s that will go in the 'too difficult' tray of the CSA & the taxpayer will have to stump up.

"We'd got that sick of it that we wouldn't let the man from 13 company leave the site, because we were at our wits end and didn't know what else to do..."

DAYLs intimidating the man who turned up to help might not do your cause any favours.

On the one hand, if you can't afford to have kids... on the other hand, we are where we are and she has a young family and it's pretty cold so it isn't great.

And no, I didn't vote for Corbyn before you ask.

It sounds like the entire site is tripping because it can't cope with every caravan drawing ~16A at once, and presumably the site's supply isn't rated for any more hence why they are putting a generator on the site.

Why do they all keep the plastic wrap on their sofas?

What's with all the plastic coverings left on the sofa?
Is it like the stickers left on cap brims to show how "new" they are, or to prevent damage from "Spillages"?

As mentioned before it's easy to trip a 16a caravan supply! Perhaps if there's another one nearby they could have 2?

Looks like she has enough money for lip fillers but can’t fill a generator with £12 of diesel?

The council wouldn't do that.

And that's why we need population control!

Maybe she could spend the money on lip fillers on an Electrician instead.

My thoughts entirely. Plus, it probably doesn't help if all the Caravans are lit up like Christmas trees.

That was my first thought... having more lights than the Grizwalds can't help with the draw on her supply.

To be fair, it reads like the council have not really put any priority into the problem and is reporting herself to social services to maybe give them a kick up the arse?

A 16Amp supply is nowhere near enough, even for a small chalet.

So......life, yes.

If it's cold, wear more clothes. Were they wearing newspapers?

And sandwiches are an acceptable form of food. Were they eating rats they'd had to capture with their own handmade traps?

It’s a caravan. Should the council replace the power supply for everyone who dwells in one?
