Just seen this on the news. Impressive, most impressive, he pegs it over and hauls her out, 'you're coming with me luv.'

Should probably be knighted, that's what knighthoods are for, bravery?

Well done to the chap! I pulled someone from a burning car once and you don't think about the risk at the time but later you really think about it! In my case the car didn't blow up though possibly as it was upside down.

I did same. Car went up with an enormous bang seconds after we'd moved away.

It was here.

Woman had fallen asleep and hit the armco on the left. Car took off into the air and was well alight by the time it came down on its roof.

I was terrified. So much smoke and flame I couldn't tell if others were in the car. Luckily she was solo.

Disgusting toxic masculinity on show.

In all seriousness though, top bloke. And to those with similar stories too. I only hope I never find myself in a similar situation.

There's a Netflix series 'Shot in Dark', a documentary about 'Stringers' - teams of people who hunt down news clips of happening overnight in LA to sell to TV companies and there is one clip of the recorder becoming the hero and pulling a person from a burning car long before any emergency service was on scene, probably one of the most spectacular reality TV moments.

Quite incredible that it just carried on.

Wonder if the rescued woman got done for careless driving?

Surely "careless" suggests a degree of knowing what is going on but being indifferent to it. Perhaps driving without due care and attention?

Or maybe not.

I believe the bloke who fell asleep on a motorway and caused a major rail crash went inside didn't he?

ISTR it was proven that he’d fallen asleep at the wheel after having had very little sleep the night before embarking on a long distance motorway journey towing a trailer... which is pretty careless however you look at it. Obviously he never expected to kill 11 or so people.

Beat me to it. All I could think of was some Feminazi accusing him of robbing her of the right to save herself or choose not to as is her right as a woman. Bet he never even asked her how she was feeling.

Well done that guy. He deserves all the praise he is getting.

The red car has escaped criticism. They read the road and seen the accident coming. A couple of flashes of the hazard lights and then they changed their mind and then just drove off.

How nice to not even stay to phone an ambulance or be a witness.

Jeez. What caused the car to go up like that?

Was it a Ford Pinto.

I pulled a guy from an upside down van that had started to catch fire.

He stank of booze and said ' You ain't seen me right!' and ran off across some fields.

Police turned up, laughed as they looked at his sign written van and said that they would catch up with him at his house.

Brave man.

How could the police not prosecute the lady though. She drove into a car at speed.

brave chap, fair play.

I once dragged someone out of a car that had flipped onto its roof after a smash, car wasn't on fire mind but there was coolant or something flowing out of the bonnet and this lady was beyond hysterical thinking it was petrol and about to go bang.

On reddit I saw a video of a guy who drove into a flooded road and managed to make the car catch on on fire. It was a Peugeot, so maybe we don't need any more explanation.

That's 4 posters on this thread that have done brave deeds at the scene of an accident.

In 40 years of driving I've never even witnessed a serious accident, let alone rescued anyone.
Maybe the Organisers Of Fate have acted correctly.

Yes. I was wrong. When I looked at the video it seems her car was hit in the rear. I hope the driver that crashed into her was prosecuted.
