I suspect there is no glass in it the way the car is rocking quickly over road undulations so the frame shouldn't be that heavy if aluminium.

Still a bit daft though.

When I saw the video earlier I was rather hoping for a low bridge to appear round the next bend.

It obviously has no glass... So it's just a frame.

I'm not sure i really see the problem? As long as it's strapped down it's not going anywhere.

I put an 8' by 6 shed on a focus roof and drove it 8 miles home. Did the job.

It's a sort of tortoise car.

It looks odd but I've seen a lot worse.

It's a Zagato prototype for Ford. Trademark glasshouse design.

Glassless greenhouses weigh absolutely nothing - if that thing weighs much more than 15kg I'd be surprised. It's going to have less drag than a roof box and have no effect on handling.

So assuming that it's correctly secured, the structure of the greenhouse is good (no loose struts) and it's not contravening some law due to the size of it then I don't see the problem - it just looks comical.

never forget helping a friend transport a 16' hobicat catamaran across town astride a mk1 fiesta, with the hulls blocking the doors.

he had to clamber in and out through the rear tailgate

i drove ahead in my XR3i with hazards on !

must have been 30 years ago but still foolish

Is this an Elevenerife individual following a neighbour boasting about the panoramic roof on their car?

meh... no glass in it, and it's an aluminium frame, so not much drag or weight. Where's the problem?
