The main story here is one thing but what concerns me more is that Andrea Jenkyns, the woman who beat Cooper's husband to gain her place in parliament, is defending Spencer. This is despite Jenkyns pre-election reports of her banners being defaced, someone writing graffiti close to her office and one of her helpers apparently being chased by someone with a hammer when trying to post a leaflet.

This wasn't a time to defend the activist in question and blame it on "the system" (would this be the mental health provision her own party haven't helped much?), it was an opportunity to show unity with a fellow MP and condemn actions like this across the board.

She hasn't even expressed sympathy to Cooper and the staff affected by this.

Oh and she's got Aaron Banks funding her:

“We should have left no deal on the 29th before the we Yvette got her hands on to it and voted to revoke democracy. She will pay. I’m already organising … to hurt her. Amazing what crackheads will do for £100. I’m going to get her beat up,” he wrote.
Mental.

Interesting that he was apparently allowed to stand as a Conservative council candidate after being arrested for it.

Or as said Andrea Jenkyns, strange that she defended him, when MP's have been reporting they've been threatened regularly, in the light of the murder of Jo Cox etc.

Interesting that no one is leaping to his defense here, and a resounding lack of the usual suspects condemning his actions
