I have just been watching the news and what is happening in Idlib is totally shocking with the random bombing of homes , with families being slaughtered, buried alive.. children killed or seriously injured. Who will step in here ? Someone must surely.

Is that Idlib or Yemen you were watching?

Difficult to preach morality to the world about Idlib when supplying munitions to do the same to people in Yemen.

Not sure to be honest. I just caught a glimpse but as I said, ‘shocked’. I stopped buying newspapers years ago because the news was more often than not disturbing.

As you have not kept up with the news, it might surprise you to learn that a civil war has been raging in Syria for the last 9 years. The anti-government forces are in a state of collapse, and Idlib represents almost a mopping up operation by the Syrian government. War is Hell.

It's horrific. Poor, poor children.

Imagine having lived your who life knowing nothing but war and the fear of being bombed by your government.

Assad will not stop until he has murdered, or silenced, all opposition. He doesn't care how this is achieved. If it means bombing civilian areas where those civilians are deemed to be opposition, he will do it.
And there's not a damned thing we can do to stop it.
As said above, this has been going on for nearly a decade, so it now doesn't even make the news.

Why no uprising an civil war in Syria? I know attempts were made a few years ago, but how can you just sit there and take it...from your own Govt?

I'm afraid of a "woosh" parrot...but I'll reply.

There is significant evidence of the local populace refusing to 'take it', it didn't go well, those attempts weren't quietly quelled, the government had bigger friends who stamped all over most of the resistance in a very ugly and internationally illegal way.

That's not even taking into account the different religious branches trying to wipe each other out. Bring on the parrot as you must be joking.
