Is 'Western Imperialism' a convenient blanket term for the past evils of white people or did the Romans not kill anyone?

Now the Japanese are under belated scrutiny, although not actually those who committed the atrocities, but a singer I've never heard of on Ant and Dec

Playing devils advocate, but is it any different than if they'd shown symbols of a swastika...?

Both symbols have origins going back far earlier than the regimes who appropriated it as their own, but for some (many) people they see the darker history associated with them. I guess the differences being that (1) the Rising Sun flag is not so recognisable to most people in the UK in comparison to the swastika, and (2) the Rising Sun is still used by the Japanese Navy today.

Surely the Romans, part Italian are considered Caucasian. I.e. White, in the main.

However Romans of course were comprised of many races from Europe and North Africa.

I think it is reasonable to say most ‘civilisation’ and many in the name of religion have carried out atrocities at some point in their evolution.

That's something I have never seen before. Very interesting. Poor old Mexican Empires. A very short reign.

I will ask Mr Khan to apologise on behalf of Genghis when I'm in the shop tomorrow.

I would imagine most civilisations have tried military expansion at some time

It's just that others are just envious of the successful ones

As were most the subjects of their conquests (or presumably in the eyes of the anti-imperialists) was the point I was making.
