EU Open Borders closing

Germany and all European countries want open borders and free movement of people

How come now they’re reverting to protecting their own people and closing borders

Just find that so annoying that they claim to be pro EU but the minute there’s a problem they all revert to protecting their own individual countries and shutting borders

So far its been a st-show from the EU, this should have been a coordinated response yet each country is all over the place with their own measures. A lot of knee jerk reactions happening.

Don't be silly - It's much more nuanced than that.
Germany has plenty of EU sceptics (just not as many as the UK) so it's always about a balance of what is good for the country vs the aspirations of European cohesion.
Germany isn't dictating to YOU how you should live your life, so what on earth annoys you so much actually?

And by the way, the borders AREN'T closed, they are open for goods and commuters, and controlled for other types of traffic.

Wouldnt expect less from our resident 10th iteration character remainer.

Its a great post. The EU has shown they cannot coordinate on this, the mere fact that borders are in place to prevent foreigners entering certain states shows this is race selection and treatment. If you are closing a boarder, you dont say its closed to anyone but our folk ffs.
