What changes will we make after the crisis ?
Discussion
When we are done with this pandemic how will society / government / you change?
1. Government - I would hope we do everything we can to avoid the next one. There is a NATO commitment to spend 2% of GDP on defence - I would hope we sign up to an international agreement to spend a similar amount on new virus research and suppression.
2. Society - I would hope we are kinder to everyone, take care of the homeless, take better care of them elderly
3. Self - I will not take small things - a walk outside, sunshine, sitting in a country pub with a drink, a happy, reasonably healthy family, for granted.

A few positives:
My local community has reacted really well so far. I'm amazed by how communities come together in times of need. I really hope we see a continued increase in community togetherness and caring for others. (this is probably incredibly area dependent though).
Home working must finally become more widespread. It's already proving to be easily possible.
More online grocery shopping.
Vastly more hygiene awareness. This I believe will be a struggle to maintain for many.
This country has a huge percentage of the population that has a negative outlook on life. It will be an incredibly hard struggle to change that mindset to enable us to keep the positives we will see during this crisis.

The people who were last month sharing "Be Kind" on facebook are the ones now fighting over toilet rolls in the supermarkets and buying up everything they could preventing others from getting what they need .Ayahuasca said:

I know what you mean, but on the other hand I've read a few things by people who've experienced close escapes from death that they felt that way for a few months, and then the feeling wore off and they went back to normal.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
