Its true - I find I have better internet access with it on, rather than off.

Leaving your router on is good advice, because often if you leave it off for a few hours or more, the router will need to 'condition' itself to the line again.

So this means it'll usually start with the slowest speed and then improve as time goes by.

I use a cable, largely for this reason.
