F.F.S. Clearly we need a more strict lock down. I hope police throw the book at the tt who beat the farmer up.

Dog walkers can be very self entitled. Local farmer near me always having to stop them traipse over freshly sown fields. They think they can go in the whole field when there are footpaths.

The amount of cars on the road people aren't taking this seriously.

So can farmers, I expect there's two sides to this little tail.

I've found farmers the opposite, as they have dogs themselves. If the dog owners stick to the rukles on lead, stick to pathways, but they rarely do, they think it is their land.

Definitely two sides here - walker is on his own and much as many are uneasy with it (myself included) technically doing nothing wrong

Farmer is out spraying gate handles with disinfectant - that's way OTT

So do I, but I suspect she is being economic with the stated conversation...

Oh me too, I'm not saying the farmer was asking for it, but I just find it hard to believe somebody would react like that without some provocation.

An article that quotes a Facebook round robin shocker, line by tedious line, is no article at all.

There was a thread by a pher recently who owned some land, put up a fence, the dog walkers cut it down, and said they had a right to use it, when they didn't.

It was insinuated he would be harmed if he got in their way...

Dog walkers are known to put wire, branches across paths to deter other users, they can have very extreme people in them.

Farmer sounds responsible to me if he was doing that

Is it? Why? You know that none of the hundreds wandering about the Peak District on Sunday when this happened weren’t infected, do you?

So you don't think the walker might have been a self centred tosser ? he certainly didn't think the guidance applied to him !!

Walker is equally entitled to be walking down a path....

OTT? Sounds like he was just doing his bit to try and stop the spread of the virus. Those gate handles are common touch points probably used by dozens of people every day, including himself and his family.
