Is Italy in a death spiral?

AFAICT the CV epidemic in Italy has pushed it over the edge. Their banks are in big trouble and Italian bond yields are rising.(last time I looked). The only way out is big QE from the ECB, but thats against the rules.Some highly imaginative can kicking may delay the problem. Thoughts?
