Government/Council grants/loans etc
Discussion
After 2 weeks, something like £270m has been lent to 900 (?) companies, with about 200,000 applications outstanding.
You cannot get through to a bank to talk about CBILs.
The Furlough application website wont be open until at least end of April.
Unless this changes this week, a lot of SME's wont make it past mid-May, let alone through the shut-down.

The grant has been paid into my business account today. So I've got mine anyone else?
Two of my brothers run their own businesses and I believe they've had theirs. They're both with different Local Authorities.ETA It seems odd how the £10k grant doesn't take into account whether your business has been negatively or positively affected by COVID19. Afaics you could actually be doing far better as a direct result of the pandemic and still get the grant.

Our problem has been contacting businesses where we don't have bank details...there's no way we're sending cheques out to businesses that are potentially closed up for the duration.
I would suggest businesses who think they might quality get onto the council they pay nndr to.
Can't speak for the bank loans or furlough scheme, but logistically it would be a nightmare I guess especially with details being hazy.
Reminds me of the Brexit scheme for EU citizens to get domiciled status.
Off they went building a website that took a payment, only for the govt to announce that applications would be free.
Turns out their whole website and process workflow was based on a payment being taken first...oops, they had to completely rebuild it.
