I had the misfortune to meet him once. The article certainly rings true. After the meeting I found out through friends in business some background on his position as trade envoy for the UK and heard he was a complete liability and that he was really disliked in diplomat circles.
Interesting that PR managed to spin his image so well when he was younger and hide the truth of his personality from the public.
Comes across as tactless, rude, arrogant and self-entitled as his father. A chip off the old block - which is probably why he was the Queen’s favourite son.
Not a very inspiring brood. Charles is just odd and the less said about Edward the better. Anne does come across as an interesting and capable person though and the only one I would be interested in meeting. But I’ve heard she is blunt to the point of rudeness too.
Although of course I found people’s love of royalty as puzzling as belief in god/gods or many other similar obsessions.
