At it again. Expect this to get some big coverage over the next few days as plenty of celebs are helping to get her case out there

Pretty shocking but can't see it shifting Dominic Cummings from the headlines.

Grooming gangs are far more prevalent than what we're expected to believe.

Gang members mostly getting away with it.

Yes, but I heard a man went on a car journey, that's a far more important matter for our entire media to focus on.

Tommy Robinson has turned up at a "convoy" tonight. I can here the commotion whilst walking the dog.

Locally, there seems to be more to this than meets the facebook eye.

What the person who made the original post has done is create a storm which will only make the Police' job harder.

Is that the man who went on a car journey quite a while back? Like a month or two ago?

Those messages, if real, are appalling.

Bunch of cowards.

I posted about this a couple of days ago but had no responses.

I guess white girls from poorer backgrounds aren’t a priority to the police.

Racially-and-religiously-motivated crimes?
For those who don't know Barrow-in-Furness, of population of 57,000 people 1.0% asian, that is about 570 asians. The second largest employer in the town is the NHS, which I dare say accounts for a large proportion of that 570. The "Indian Restaurants" are about 5-6 tops, of which one is family run and has been in the town for 30yrs. and I don't believe they are muslims.

So, rather than jumping and the asian bashing stereotyping bandwagon, why can't people let the police do their job.

My home town, pretty grim but not the hell hole its sometimes made out to be. Been a while since I lived there but in the 30 years I did, can’t remember the area having any race issues.

This is a disturbing story, not helped by social media halfwits stirring the st with racist comments, abuse of police, the courts and the local paper.

Let the authorities do their job properly and hopefully any individuals responsible will get prosecuted. I wish the young lady well.

local newspaper said:
Detective Chief Superintendent Dean Holden said police had conducted a year-long investigation alongside the National Crime Agency and claimed they had found ‘no evidence’ of Asian sex grooming gangs in Barrow.

Det Chief Insp Holden added the conclusion of this resource heavy operation was also upheld in following an independent peer review.

A woman was then arrested and charged with seven counts of perverting the course of justice and has appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates Court.

She has been remanded in custody.

Tensions remain high in the town and supporters of the alleged victim have been encouraging a street protest against the police’s handling of the case.

It looks like the police have done their job AND had it independently reviewed. I'm sure that won't stop Tommy and his mates from getting donations claiming otherwise.

I think it's wise to watch this one run its course...

Police won't do jack st - they turn a blind eye to the lunatic, unlicensed, uninsured driving, they sure as hell won't do anything about this. Same as the way they did nothing when a gang of Pakistani youths beat my sister so badly they broke her arm (this was for teling them to "f--k off!" when having sexually abusive remarks made).

Firstly I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I hope her arm has fully healed.

Did the police do absolutely nothing? Did they take a statement from your sister? Witness appeals? ID procedures? CCTV? Is that where the investigation ended or was anyone arrested? Genuine questions as I find it hard to believe they did nothing at all.

This was 1989 - and they just wouldn’t take anything further. You can see why the rape allegations got swept under the carpet.
