The highest speed recorded was 163mph on the M1 in London, 93 miles over the speed limit, according to the Metropolitan police’s lead on road safety, Det Supt Andy Cox. That driver was in a Porsche .....
That is going some. I think that driver might be using Uber for 6 months at least.

Wasn't there a garage mechanic in a porsche 911 turbo up near Oxford that was more than that over the limit?

There's no way I would even try it. The roads round here have been so much busier with cyclists and pedestrians it is hard enough just getting to the speed limit in some places.
That and according to our local speed trap watch FB group, the police have been standing at every common speeding spot every single day for the last 3 weeks.
