I'm happy knowing that I'll be moving out of Kent, in the very near future.
This is ridiculous.

Yes there are some great replies there too. I particularly like the one that states there are currently 3 travellers on trial for dragging a policeman to his death. Unbelievable really. I bet his widow is ecstatic about this tonight

Incompetent barstewards (the organisation, not the bobby on the beat) just trying to deflect how st they are doing or what they should be doing rolleyes

Top marks for box ticking though, I'm sure it'll be down on someone's PDP as an example come promotion time.

I don’t get why the police feel the need to do st like this.

Surely the police should not support ANY group, should they not act in a fair and detached manner to all groups?

They just need to do their job even handedly, fairly and effectively for everyone they deal with. That's all that people want.

As soon as they get in to the raising flags for blacks and gypsies but not whites or Hindus etc it just creates division with the woke lot hating anything mentioning whites and vice-versa, aside from flag raising is not what they are there for.

I expect that this probably originates from some civil servant in the Home Office whereby police forces are assessed against some criteria that includes inclusivity or pandering to minorities or some such. When I used to tender for government work there were often questionnaires about ethnic makeup etc of your company and so on, completely irrelevant to the job in hand but still would be assessed. Luckily I employed a very large % of Indian Hindus who I found to be very hard workers. Only guessing though.

If they flew that flag surely they were breaking the law, as it would need consent if they didn't get it, see below.

If I'm reading that right.

Given that it's also Pride Month, why not just combine the two? After all, I'm sure the lovely honest Travellers would be more than welcoming to the LGBT community.

Instead of "Pray away the gay!"

We could have "Gypsy curse away the gay!"

Not as catchy - but the religious nutters probably wouldn't mind either way.

No mate, but this week is actually armed forces week. I wonder what they have planned for the thousands that have sacrificed their lives for this country, many of whom came from Kent, many from the numerous airfields that operated in this area ? Or maybe something lined up for the 13000 or so former servicemen living homeless on our streets ? I could go on.

I sent this to a copper mate who works where this was taken, outside police HQ in Maidstone. He sent me back a lone emoji with a zipped mouth. I know he cant comment, because we know what would happen if someone got hold of his phone.
Exactly the same as any footballer who refused to take the knee. Ostracized, demoted and thrown out with the trash.

Is it any wonder that respect for the police has tanked when you read ste like this.?

Utter crap. Why can't they just uphold the law as they're supposed to?

Robert Peel would be spinning in his grave.
