Sorry but why are they bellends?
The reason this happened isn't furlough. The reason this happened is because many people are incapable of common sense and self control.
Weird things seem to happen in this country when the sun comes out.
Fair comment bell-ends was a bit harsh but you've got to be daft not to see that one coming and perhaps think "do I really want to be going to Bournemouth today?".

I don’t think I’d want to go to Bournemouth on any sunny day, CV19 or not. I quite like a beach, but I just can’t see how it can be even slightly pleasant to be crammed onto one like that. The reason this happened is because many people are incapable of common sense and self control.

I really don’t see what the problem is
Some people are not at work
Some people are not at school
Many ‘places to go’ remain closed
It’s boiling hot outside
People are allowed to go to the beach
Going to the beach is free
P.S. there is loads of evidence to suggest that Covid doesn’t spread much outdoors
Chill out everyone

What I've seen on social media its mostly locals complaining about outsiders on "their" beaches.

I'm sure there's a bit of that. What I've seen on social media its mostly locals complaining about outsiders on "their" beaches.
If you live at a tourist resort I don't think you can complain when there are tourists but I can see their perspective that the volume in the current climate (pandemic not weather) is insane.
Either way it's not a furlough thing.
