Seeing as we have a couple of threads pretty much all about Trump, in the interest of parity let's have a Joe Biden thread where we can all post positives or negatives as to how his campaign is going, press conference discussion etc.

Let's see if we can keep this one a bit more objective on Joe's ability to lead the free world without just spamming the thread with "ORANGE MAN BAD" posts.

I know, its Terrible, my grandfather died of Alzheimer's so I know how tough it must be if Joe is in the early stages.

Why cant the Americans find somebody who isn't either mad or decrepit to be a presidential candidate?

He is 77 years old, if he gets to a second term he will be 85 when done.

There is a hereditary component to Alzheimer's, so you might have more of an understanding, or less, depending on how far along you already are...

I've just posted in the 45th President Trump thread so thats rubbish.

If you can have Trump threads surely a Biden thread is not subject to censorship is it?

After all, nothing to hide, nothing to fear.

How long can Joe stay in the bunker, it's been 86 days now without a press conference.

There was a highly edited piece on TV today with snippets of Joe reading an autoque but nothing in the way of scrutiny for months.

Daily Caller editor Vince Coglianese tweeted the following,

"Biden campaign isn't holding press conferences, locks out local newspapers, and refuses to respond to requests for comment," Coglianese tweeted. "For all the wailing about Trump's relationship with the press, he's constantly available. Biden is bunkered."

That's, unquestionably, an outright lie!

If 46 turns out to be a, freshly dug, Maris piper, It would still do a better job than the useless tt that is 45!

That's kind of the point.

I'm not saying Trump is a good President, he's comedy gold, but not a good President.

Surely out of 350 odd million Americans they can come up with somebody better than either of these two.

I’ve noticed that on Twitter Trump has switched from calling Biden “Sleepy Joe” to “Corrupt Joe”.

I’d say that shows Trump is very rattled by Biden.

Biden knows that Trump’s biggest enemy is Trump’s mouth. If you keep an eye on Rasmussen’s daily Presidential approval rating, it always dips in the wake of Trump sounding off. And rebounds when Trump keeps his mouth shut.

So an electioneering strategy that allows Trump to talk himself into second place seems pretty smart. Allied to the fact that Trump loves the sound of his own voice and cannot keep his mouth shut.

So maybe Smart Joe would be a better tag.

In fairness you are probably right, the less Joe speaks the better his chances are.

Even Obama was quoted as saying "How many times is Biden gonna say something stupid?" During the 2008 campaign.

That's all well and good until he wins, then what do they do?

I think the VP pick is going to very important if Biden does win.

I think Biden is starting to lose it but if the Democrats can prop him up, and keep him talking semi-coherently, he is favourite for November.

Clinton had too much negative baggage which is why she lost to Trump.

Having watched Andrew Cuomo on his daily briefings on Covid-19 I have been very impressed with him.

Had he been running he would beat Trump by an absolute landslide.

It just seems that some peoples hate for Trump runs so deep they are blind to how bad a candidate Joe Biden is.

They can't admit to anyone, not even themselves that he is the wrong candidate to beat Trump.

Real pity someone like Cuomo couldn't have run,

Clinton lost to Trump because of misinformation, foreign interference, voting irregularities and voter suppression. Trump has no scruples, he will pull the same stunts again and despite his current showing in the polls could easily win again. Expect pressure to block postal votes, intimidation of ethnic and migrant voters, a foreign policy win close to election time, courtesy of Putin and a vaccine announcement in late October. All bets are off, especially as Biden is a weak candidate with his own health issues and a son with links to Ukraine.

I don't think Biden will win the election but Trump may lose it.

Biden is winning by virtue of not being seen. Trump is making lots of mistakes which by default makes Biden look better.

At this juncture Trump will need hospitalising with CV19, US needs more riots, Democrat mayors need to turn a blind eye, Trump recover, executive order to restore order will see him with a landslide.
Biden I think will avoid debates and the press.
I believe there has been a recent ballot (Illinois?) with mail in votes, up to 20% of the votes are being investigated for fraud and they are trying to roll this out country wide by November. This could lead to a bought election.

I still hold out a vain hope that Tom Hanks will realise enough is enough, put himself forward, and win by a landslide.

We've discussed this ad infinitude on the other two threads but budflicker wants a third to push his untrue tosh? No one thought initially Biden was the best candidate, but you can see why he was chosen as the opposite of trump. Experienced, committed, honourable and unsurprisingly trump can't throw dirt at him as trump has done much worse and more often with anything he could try.

Trump also fears Biden running against him. It's why he tried to manufacture dirt against him starting over six months before Biden even announced he was running. Remember , trump was impeached for it.

Biden shows no signs of Altzimers, it's purely pushed around after trumps issues with drinking water, walking down ramps etc.
Push the same claim onto the opponent.

At the moment Biden doesn't have to do anything, trumps throwing it all away himself.

So why Biden -
He has perfect hearing. He would have heard the 'White power chants' in video that trump retweeted?
Biden doesn't golf and reads daily briefings so would have taken urgent action on being told the russians had a bounty on US troops.
Biden as VP to Obama had a track record of delivering, no wild business damaging tarrifs and trade wars, I'm sure he'd again deliver more than a bump stock ban and a tax cut for the rich.

Oh and one of the other two threads is about discussing the election, and the candidates, so there's no need for a third thread.
