Leicester Lockdown

Is it 100% due to Covid risk, or a government spin, sending the warning far and wide to the naughty boys and girls they havent been able to control this last month ?
The govt would never choose a prominent immigrant area for such an experiment. If it leaked they'd be finished given the current climate.

Leicester local here formerly from London.
Honestly people here have been behaving like penises.
Whilst I understand that the very recent opening of testing facilities smack bank in the city centre have no doubt added to the numbers, still see above.
I would say the disobedience really spiralled after the Cummings fiasco, it has largely been BAU since then.
I have been in the office the past two weeks and daily on the buses people are on, no masks, the city centre has been heaving since the shops were re-opened.
Houses of multiple occupancy too are a serious issue (not in the legal sense). No doubt this is a problem in many cities, however, the spotlight is currently on Leicester.

It only applies to Leicester and surrounding area, not rest of country. Its badly worded (or the BEEB doing its usual alarmist flag waving).https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershi...
