Maybe I've slipped through a wormhole to a parallel universe.

I spotted that too. Clickbait for the Leftists of course.

Mind you, the reviewer claims it matches Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and if that is so it's definitely on my Christmas prezzie book list. smile

I got a strange look from the other Speed Awareness Course attendees and leaders when I blurted out my answer to their question "Why do people speed?".

Everyone else seemed to be saying the same thing, in roundabout ways. They were all in a hurry..."Late for meeting.", "Late for dinner.", "Wife gone into labour.", "Got up late & late for work.", etc.

Mine was "For fun!"...and one of the course leaders asked me specifically what I meant. I didn't think I could be more succinct, so just said some people enjoy driving...fast or otherwise.

They didn't seem to get it, so I just shut up and was a bit less active in the session from then on.

Wonder if I should get the electronic version of the hardback or wait for the paperback wink

I said the same thing in one of the various speed awareness courses I've attended (I should ask for my money back really, they've clearly not raised my awareness much) and the bloke laughed and agreed that yes many people speed because it's enjoyable. He was a good chap and that course was less dire than the others because he wasn't a pompous fkwit.

I've only been on one, so have obviously been a very good and not been caught speeding.
