"Badly behaved British tourists in Magaluf"
Discussion
Utterly bizarre thread title.
Surely you could have simply said "Badly behaved British tourists in Magaluf".
As for British tourists, what do you expect? We are an absolute disgrace and an embarrassment.
A man fell to his death from a hotel in Marbella at the weekend, killing a local Spanish man in the process. It was a British man who fell. What a surprise.
I was watching a program about Monaco on TV the other evening, and they showed how tightly the Police enforce the rules in Monaco. The only incident that happened all weekend was someone running off from a Pizza takeaway restaurant without paying. It was a British man. What a surprise.

It was a quote from a local in the Telegraph.Surely you could have simply said "Badly behaved British tourists in Magaluf".
At least if they're in Magaluf they're not dumping tonnes of litter on UK beaches I guess.

A bit racist isn’t it?
Read above. It was a 'local' person in Magaluf who uttered those words. The Telegraph reported it as the 'Spaniard (I assume) in question' said it.
I see the thread title has changed. You got your wish 'Lord'. LOL
Who did that? Can you change a thread title, I didn't think so? Or can you via a Mod?

But yes, you are quite right about the litter. I commented on several threads expressing disgust at the behaviour of our citizens recently, and I said that these were the morons who would normally be disgracing themselves in Spanish holiday resorts.

Re-read it.
Telegraph reports local eyewitness saying Hundreds of sons of b***ches from Great Britain with no regard for covid19 situation.

Thanks. I can't access the article from the Telegraph as it is behind a paywall, however the OP should clarify that the thread title was a quote from a local.

Bizaarely I can access the Telegraph stories on my phone but not my computer, the quote from the local is "Total chaos in Punta Bellena. Hundreds of sons of b***ches from Great Britain. No face masks on, jumping on top of cars, drunk, drinking alcohol in the street. A disaster. Where’s the police? A f**king disgrace.”But yes, you are quite right about the litter. Maga locals complain every year about Brits abroad, yet their economy is built on it.
Added effect this year due to COVID, but the complaints will continue year after year.
That’s about right. They encourage cretins from many Europeans countries to come and disgrace themselves on a regular basis, as they have for decades, and then moan when they do exactly that.Added effect this year due to COVID, but the complaints will continue year after year.
But it’s a relatively small minority who fall for it; I know no one who wouldn’t shudder at the thought of going to the Balearics as a whole these days, largely because of the reputation of places like Magaluf.
We reap what we sow.
It's funny that entire islands judge Brits on that basis and will actually close their doors to us (pre-COVID), whereas the nationality of anyone misbehaving on these shores is often deemed completely irrelevant.
I'm sure such lads are complete t
ts to a lesser extent when they drink back home and we all think they're t
ts so I'm not sure whether the suggestion is that they should not be allowed out of the country (again COVID aside but of course arrivals should be checked) or whether we are indeed all t
ts.
But there is definitely a polarity I can only assume be related to political stance in whether someone considers Britain to be the infection risk to the RoW or vice versa. Reading comments on the farm workers infected in Herefordshire, most seemed quick to state their case for the infection having been brought in, or contracted here, despite zero information about how long the infected had been in the UK.

Surely it is a given, that the first tranche of tourists to fly 3 to Magaluf, during a covid pandemic, are not going to be giving much of a s
t about said Covid pandemic! Anyone who does care about it, isn't getting on planes at the moment
I feel sorry for the locals, but it is entirely predictable this will be happening in tourist traps. And it wont just be Brits, it will be all nationalities soon enough.
