not read the link but is he a perv of just a person texting another person etc, or are you implying he is a perv because he is gay?

odd that you him think being gay is a perv?

Anyway it is in the link but

''In the messages, Mr Roberts referred to the intern's "picture on Twitter earlier. Lovely legs".

"Don't ignore me when I'm making you feel better," he told her.

''"I felt really vulnerable and I felt like I was being used to make him feel better about everything."''

''"It was just horrific."

I have read it now and it seems that was the extent of it so no not a perv a tt maybe. An on the given day she was having personal struggles which he would not have been fully awarew of.

I am thinking this is storm in a tea cup an apology should suffice

No I was asking you if you felt that being gay made him a perv because I do not see what he did was "Perverse" he commented on her twitter, basically he propositioned her she did not like it said so and complained all of which seems reasnoble. He did not suggest that he wanted her to bring a sheep along for a 3 some etc. Just seems like some bloke making a mug of himself an rightly being called out an repremanded for it.

Why is her a perv?

As 'pervs' go that's a bit tame - no where near to qualifying to join the Lib Dems.

you seem to mixing stuff up, perv is not perverse, perv as in ''a lustful or lecherous look.'' I think your own feelings seem to be clouding your viewpoints.

Agreed. If a man propositioning woman is now a perversion then we are in serious trouble.

It's inappropriate in a work environment, but not perverted.

I don't excuse his actions but it's just another middle aged bloke making a fool of himself chasing a young girl, fact he's an MP of any party irrelevant although his career is now likely over and his reputation ruined.

Does seem a high price to pay.

Not at all....he should know better. I think it's slightly disturbing that having tried it on and been told that she's had a really bad mental health day, he follows up immediately with another request for a bunk-up.

Pompous and brainless.

I hope they throw the book at him but given Boris demands standards similar to those of a sleazy nightclub owner I suspect he'll be just fine.

Looks more like harassment and unwanted attention than just asking someone out though.

He’d be in trouble in many work places for those messages.

Plenty of people meet their other half at work.

I did and so did my sister. In fact when I consider my circle of family and friends it is a fairly high proportion.

Whether it was inappropriate depends surely on the context. Whether one is the line manager for the other for example. Or whether the man continues to make advances after being rejected.

Or it could be him having mental health issues (even if they choose to describe it as a mid-life crisis)?

This isn’t about two people liking each other at work though, it’s about one making the other feel uncomfortable with his actions.

that perviness is not just a tory mp trait and for him to stop starting pisspoor threads.

Making a fool of yourself is asking her once and being rejected. Harassing is continuing to ask despite it being made clear she was not interested.

Ad an aside, was I reading it right, hes split from his wife as he is gay, but hes chasing a female intern! So when he said "I might be gay" does that mean hes not sure? Whole thing reads of a really "odd" situation.
