Political devolvement
Discussion
Our local BBC news broadcast last night (East anglia) has a piece on devolvement. It’s rearing it’s ugly head yet again, do away with County Councils and elect a local Mayor who would, with his/her
cabinet, make the big decisions on infrastructure, budgets and more. Not withstanding the fact this
idea was thrown out two or three years ago the same lot are at it again meeting in Downing St to discuss.
I personally find the devolvement program as one of being shoved down the people’s throat without a say in the outcome.
Any such news in your patch?
