They’re all too busy fighting over Boris, COVID and the EU to notice! I think Hume’s legacy is that Ireland has enjoyed some semblance of peace because of his single minded commitment to banging heads together on both sides of the divide. Hume seemed to have a honest heart-felt desire to improve life for all here, and did so with such down-to-earth humanity that stands far above the behaviour of those who claim to represent us now.
Irish history will remember him well.
