Loved watching him box in the early days proper family get together ,it’s a minter R.I.P

Shame that despite his impressive career, he's mainly remembed for the Haglar defeat. Also a shame that the run up to that fight turned into a kind of mini race war, (which Minter rather naively contributed to) which then attracted a crowd of scumbags, which then meant Haglar couldn't celebrate what was a massive moment in his career.

by who ? certainly not people involved with boxing during or recently after his time.

Unfortunately that era of boxing when we attended, more often than not always a brawl the place would just erupt for the smallest of things also you brought up what Allen minter said but you failed to mention what Haglar said ,he wouldn’t touch white flesh .
Allen Minter was of a time and very good RIP .
