Boris v Burnham - The Tier 3 Bout
Discussion
It’s even got to the stage where Burnham is whining about headlines in the evening standard. It’s a London centric paper ffs, of course they will be batting for London.

That said it’s quite funny how the Mayor of Manchester - someone who was forced upon the people of Manchester by a Tory PM (Mancunians voted against a regional mayor in a referendum yet were given one anyway) - is now causing lots of problems for a Tory administration.

Compromise is the key here.
Until it's reached, thousands more Mancunians than would have will die due to the delay in decreasing 'mingling'.

Making out that people cannot act a certain way unless forced to by the government. They can easily chose not to associate with anyone else.

Sadly many many people are not capable of making rational decisions when it comes to the choice of either partying or causing the death of others.Making out that people cannot act a certain way unless forced to by the government. They can easily chose not to associate with anyone else.

Boris should tell Burnham he doesn't want a public fight on this. He will receive no additional funding but what he does ref lockdown is up to Burnham and the consequences are on him. Until it's reached, thousands more Mancunians than would have will die due to the delay in decreasing 'mingling'.

Meanwhile all other regions should act as if Greater Manchester is Tier 3 in any rules they have in place where tiering is relevant.

Its utterly ridiculous: if Burnham has 'massive support' from the people of Manchester, surely they would take his advice & isolate/lockdown/distance voluntarily?Making out that people cannot act a certain way unless forced to by the government. They can easily chose not to associate with anyone else.

What about partying in flu season/ Doesn't that "cause the death of others"? How about those would could afford to, choosing not to donate resources to everyone whose lives could be longer were they better off?
