Sounds like one of own powerfully built ‘dominate the stairs’ type person.

“ CCTV footage of the attack showed Mr Singh as he 'went all Bruce Lee' as he defended himself, a source told The Times. ”

Why did Mr Singh have a knife on him to "produce"?
I understand that in this circumstance Mr Singh may have met a very untimely end.

But - why was he walking around with a knife on him?
Someone else could have met an untimely demise because of Mr Singh carrying a knife.

Stupid question, could it have been a kirpan if he was on way back from temple?

Most of them, including the one initially attacked were in the country illegally.
All over an unpaid dept.
I wonder how much all this has cost the taxpayer.

Judging from the name, I'm guessing he's Sikh so might have a ceremonial knife on him?

Whatever the cost add about another 300 pounds. The price the Home Office will have to pay for his plane ticket back to India.

Regardless of the ins and outs of who should be living where, if you get set about by a gang of men you have the right to defend yourself, so justice has been served.

Such ignorance. Clearly you lack the most basic knowledge of other cultures. I suggest you get out a bit more. A Kirpan is a ceremonial knife that Sikhs are legally allowed to carry for self defense.

Whatever these guys were into sounds dodgy but regardless, taking on 4 armed blokes and defeating them sounds like something out of a film.

Cultural or not, a lot of anti-knife crime publicity often promotes that you are more likely to get stabbed if you carry a knife.

It isn’t ignorance to think the law of the land outweighs religious law or religious practice.

Was the Mail article written by a 12 year old? It's abysmal, quite honestly.

Given they'd had a meeting the previous night it's quite possible he was expecting an attack so went armed.

Was cleared at trial.

“ The Met police charged Gurjeet Singh with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and he was remanded in custody for trial in February.

No charges in relation to the deaths of three victims were ever brought.

Mr Singh was found not guilty in August by a jury at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

He's been contacted for a comment but could not be reached.

A spokeswoman for the Met confirmed that Mr Singh had initially been arrested for murder, but was charged only with possession of the knife, for which he was subsequently cleared. ”

I do know that - smile was just setting it up for; why it is OK for one group of people to be carrying a knife and no-one else?
I should add - If you are sporting a kilt - you can carry a knife in your sock.

Probably covered under the ‘religious reasons’ as he was on the way back from the Gurdwara. Good work taking down 3 of them.
