There are a huge number of threads relating to the US election, but no current poll.

2 years ago, PH polls thought it would be a Trump certainty in 2020.

A few months ago, the Dems had made up a lot of ground.

With less than a week to go, minds must be made up.

One last vote - lets see if the collective PH hive-mind mirrors the preferences of the US electorate in a few days time.

I previously thought Trump, but he has almost turned into a caricature of himself in recent months, a total joke.

I don't like Biden either, but think he will edge it purely due to the "anyone but Trump" vote

Feel free to explain reasons behind your own decision if you want.

If not, just vote and we will see how accurate it is this time next week.

I voted Trump, purely because I think he will contest it and take it to the Supreme Court.

Biden easy win. Trump has lost the ''senior'' vote over covid.

I think it'll be tight but Trump will edge it.

Reason? The noisy objectors to him. A vast swathe of the American voting population have seen him do what he said he would do, recognise that Civid will do what it does and are silently waiting to put their X in his box. The country is heavily divided. People are loudly lambasted for showing support for Trump. A bit like Brexit when everyone and his dog on the remain side was doom mongering and name calling, telling the voters that they were stupid, so they quietly went about their business and voted when it mattered.

Whatever we may think of Trump, there are still a lot of Americans that respond to his style.

It will be interesting for sure, but not as interesting as the next 4 years whoever gets in.

They should have gone with Kamala Harris, imo. ..
As one journalist who I can't remember put... she's one 77 year old's heart beat away from the presidency.

But I didn't factor in that the American population may be as stupid as I have just been, putting my dot in the wrong box in this poll on my tiny phone.

Doh!

Spot on. Ticking that Trump box will feel like a big FU to a many number of things currently going on in the US and in the privacy of the polling booth a lot of people will take that little high.

^ Whilst I agree on the theory i think the polsters understand the 'shy Trump' effect at this point too and have certainly tried to price it in.

Biden is a lacklustre candidate and both of them are far too old and unrepresentative of most of the population. If America votes again for Trump and his constant lies, nepotism, childish behaviour and massive incompetence in dealing with Coronavirus then the country will become even more insular and broken.

I know who I'd like to win, just to bring an end to the circus that has become American politics.

However I have that same horrible feeling I had last time that Trump will do it again.

Luckily I don’t have to choose between these two geriatrics. Wtf would anyone want then running their country.

I’m guessing it’s to do with cash but are there no 30 or 40 somethings willing and able to run the country?

I think Trump will edge it sadly, SCOTUS will have the final say, the groundwork is already done.

Looks like Biden will take it but he wont be president really.

They will stick him in a rocking chair somewhere and wheel him out for public occasions and hope desperately he can keep to an autocue when they do so.

So none of the above

Wouldn't be a bad thing... for everyone except him obviously boxedin
There would nothing good about having a woman in charge who actively withheld key evidence for defendants on death row. She should be locked up
